Thanks for participating, it was a spin!
Last month on October 21st, we hosted another successful Court House Spinathon fundraiser event where participants pushed it to the limit to raise money for The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Bermuda. We could not have done it without you, thank you.
This year's event took place in the Courtyard at Victoria Place, Lower Level, 31 Victoria Street, with the first ride beginning at 9 am. Throughout the day participants were powered by refreshments by John Barritt & Son Ltd and fruit trays by Victoria Grill. The positive energy was contagious and our Group Cycle trainers, who volunteered their time, kept everyone engaged and motivated.
We were thrilled to have a full house of individual, group and corporate participants. At 3.00 pm, it was a great honour to be joined by the Governor of Bermuda, John Rankin, who had a great spin alongside Traci Burgess, Director of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Bermuda.
Over the next few days, we will announce the sum of money raised at the spinathon as well as the individual and team who raised the most funds.
“Funds from the Court House Spinathon will contribute significantly to ensuring that the Award in Bermuda remains available and accessible to all who wish to participate, and will enhance our programme expansion initiatives across the island in order to reach and serve a wider population of our youth", said Traci Burgess.
Stay tuned.
